| I have been slacking with the xanga post this summer, and I do apologize. It is time for an update for those of you who I have not talked to in awhile. After a few months at a job I hated at Dell, I have finally found a job that I love. I now work for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society in the Team in Training Department. If anyone wants to run a marathon, triathlon, or participate in a cycle race I am your girl. Who can beat getting to work and be around something you love so much? It is a perfect fit for me for the time being. Living in OKC is still probably not my first choice, but the job makes up for the location, and we make this place pretty fun I guess??? For your viewing pleasure I have posted a picture of the new peace of art in our apartment complex. I am not so sure how you would describe it, but I am going with INTERESTING, and not my style at all. Some days I look at it and the metal building and ask myself where am I living?
PS- You should check out the book I am reading, it is a good read!
| For all of you who have been requesting pic's of the new apartment, here they are. It is not completley done, but here is what we have finished up until this point. It is starting to feel like a home slowly but surely. Other updates on life are minimal. Life is good, just working and spending time with friends. We are trying to experience OKC to the fullest, baseball games, plays, new restaurants, etc. If there are some hidden jewels here in the city let us know, we are up for exploring. Went home to Amarillo last weekend and had an amazing time. I never would have guessed I would enjoy being home as much as I do. There is something about it that is just perfect, the time is never enough. And by the way the real world/paying bills sucks. Our electric bill just arrived and it is OUTRAGEOUS. Looks like we are going to be roughing it. If you had to choose either eating or air conditioning which would you choose? That is the debate........

| Quick Update on Life... Alisha and I are finally in our apartment/loft, whatever you want to call it. We just got the internet hooked up today, so I am back! Sorry for the lack of post lately, I will try to make up for it in the near future. I would have posted at work, but yes they are a computer company and are quite smart. They blocked xanga, hotmail, facebook, etc., I guess they want people to work or something. Seems quite absurd to me??? Life in Oklahoma City has been good, different, but good. It has been nice to be back with friends, we have ended up with quite a fun group here in the city. We have some requirments for hanging out with us, but we are pretty fun, so if you think that you can live up to some high expectations and live within a 30 minute radius of OKC, we will consider letting you in our friend circle. Please email for application, and a reponse to this question: funny, money or booty? You Choose.... No explanation until you make the final cut!
Pictures coming in the next few days of the decorated apartment, we still have some work to do. It seems like a never ending process. Time for bed, getting up early sucks!!!!!
| Italy was amazing!!! I must say it is the most beautiful place that I have ever been, its hard to put into words, and pictures do not do it justice. I loved being able to see Rome and everything that I have always seen and learned about from History books. It is so much better in person that is for sure. While I loved all the sights and the busyness of the big city my time in Florence was perfect. It is exactly what you imagine an Italian town to be; the narrow streets, quaint little shops, excellent Italian wine, street cafe's and beautiful scenery. I can truly see that God displays himself through nature and architecture, Indescribable!!! Here are a few pictures to give you a glimpse of my trip.

Great trip as you can see, and there are so many more pictures and stories, but they will have to be shared in person... I also read the DaVinci Code on my trip, I have never finished an entire book in less than 2 months, usually I don't finish them at all, so this is quite an accomplishment. Nonetheless, I would recommend the read, very good!
The most recent update on my life: I am leaving tomorrow sometime to move to Oklahoma. I start my job with Dell on Tuesday. Vacation is over, real world begins:( Hopefully I will enjoy the job and I will be good at it, we shall see? I am excited to move into my apartment with Alisha, I think it is going to turn out to be quite nice. After being away from close friends for the last 5 months I am more than excited to move back and get to be with some of my college friends. I have learned that they are irreplaceable, and I think we will make OKC a fun place to live.... So that is the quick update on my life....
| I am off to Italy!!!!! And the exciting news is I have a job, after 6 months the looking has finally paid off. Not so excited about leaving Texas and returning to Oklahoma but the job and the friends will be good. But for now I am just going to enjoy vacation and try not to think about a job, moving, the real world, etc. Look forward to a Europe update with lots of pictures upon my return! | | |
